Little & Large  – This is Hyred (originally nemed Henry) & Chocolate Buttons – at the time the largest & smallest Ecobears ever.

Hyred still is the largest hemp teddy bear in the world. The Earth Friendly bear was born in 1997 – and was the Ecobears’ fair mascot before becoming a major character in the recently published Ecobears children’s book.

Hyred is 36″ tall from ear to toe & is entirely handcrafted, taking a whole three weeks to complete. He weighs in at a whopping 8 kilograms. Hyred is seen here wearing an original Ecobears hand knitted jumper – 95% cream coloured wool, emblazoned with the green bear logo & ‘Paws for the Planet’ – made in 1997.
